Socioath was born out of the need to create a Socially-Networked webn application to be used in the Dean '04 Campaign. The original application intention was to connect people in order to increase their civic engagement.

Socioath is a J2EE web application. It should run on any web server that is Servlet 2.4 complient.

It can be configured to use either MySql or HSQLDB as a database. You are required to have an existing MySql installation, if Sociopath is configured for it.
